FICH is a privately owned, Maine based company that has been providing professional caregiving to Maine seniors since 1997. Our owners are Bob and Darcy Poor. Bob, who has practiced as a Physician Assistant for nearly 20 years, is proud to have taken the company to its highest level of professionalism yet. As a “hands on” owner, Bob is involved in the company’s daily operation. Darcy, a Registered Nurse, is the company’s Director of Nursing. The two are proud to be life-long Mainers. The mission of Friends is: To provide compassionate, high quality care to Maine seniors while maintaining their dignity.

Our Staff
Our professional caregivers are made up of Certified Nursing Assistants, Personal Support Specialists, Direct Support Professionals and Companion Caregivers. Each employee is required to undergo a national background check prior to employment.
Our administrative staff is charged with supporting our clients and caregivers 24hrs a day, 7 days a week.
Our Care Managers provide support to our staff and caregivers by visiting the Client’s home periodically to ensure that both the staff and the Client has the resources necessary to complete the care required.
